    Ticketing & Arrival

    Advance purchase is strongly encouraged, as our cruises often sell out quickly. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the office directly.

    We recommend booking your cruise as soon as possible. Many of our cruises sell out in advance. Friday and Saturday nights during the summer are extraordinarily popular and often reach capacity several weeks in advance.

    The ticket price includes your boarding pass, a delicious buffet meal, musical entertainment (all cruises feature a DJ), water, coffee, and iced or hot tea. Soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. Tickets do not include tax or gratuity.

    Boarding begins one hour prior to the cruise. Guests are encouraged to allow time for parking, check-in and relaxation. It is important that our cruises depart on time.

    Boarding starts one hour prior to the scheduled cruise time.

    You can board up to 10 minutes prior to our departure time.

    All cruises depart promptly at the specified time due to our schedule. All guests have been informed of the cruise departure time and should anticipate it to be accurate. It is imperative that guests be aboard at least 10 minutes prior to the cruise departure time to avoid missing the boat!

    No refunds are issued within 72 hours of the cruise. We will try to accommodate you on another cruise, based on availability.

    Cancellations made prior to 72 hours are transferable and refundable. Cancellations made within 72 hours or less may be rescheduled within the same season as purchased but are not refundable. (Not applicable to contracted groups.) All major credit cards accepted. We do not accept personal checks.

    Please bring your boarding passes (attached to your receipt) and head straight to the boat upon arrival.

    There is a parking lot connected to Lady Caroline operated by Propark Mobility. Prices are subject to change without notice, but typical rates are $3 – $15. Rates and payment options may vary based on events happening in the area. During Jacobs Pavilion concerts and Flats West Bank special events, parking may be cash only. If the gates are down, take a ticket and pay as you leave. If there is a Propark Mobility team member at the gate, notify them you are here for a Lady Caroline cruise. 

    RTA does not offer service to our dock at this time. Many of our guests use ride-sharing apps such as Uber and Lyft. If there is NOT a concert at Jacobs Pavilion, ride-share drivers may enter the lot free of charge and pick passengers up in front of the dock. If there is an event, we ask drivers to meet passengers at the end of Main Street – just a short walk down the boardwalk.

    Schedule

    During the Summer, we cruise most days. During the Spring, Autumn and Winter our cruising days are more limited.

    Our season is dependent on weather, but generally we begin on Easter and run through New Year’s Eve.

    These are special celebration voyages themed around traditional holidays (i.e., Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Cinco de Mayo, Halloween, New Year’s Eve, etc.) or one of the many exciting events happening in Cleveland (i.e., Airshow, Tall Ships, etc.). They are open to the public but often sell out quickly! 

    Yes! Private tours and charters are a great idea for any special event you are planning, from weddings, anniversaries and corporate gatherings to client entertaining or birthday parties. We believe “The Best Events are on the Water!” 100-150 paid fares required.

    The Ship

    Absolutely! Lady Caroline has three fully enclosed, climate-controlled decks for your comfort. In case of severe weather conditions or upon direction of the U.S. Coast Guard or National Weather Service, the boat may remain dockside until weather conditions improve. Please keep in mind that our weather patterns can change quickly (this is Cleveland, afterall.) In the rare event that we are forced to cancel the trip, you will be allowed to reschedule to another time (subject to availability).

    Seating is preassigned by the restaurant manager.  Parties may be seated together. You will be escorted to your reserved seats when you board the ship. If you would like to be seated with another party, please contact the office, 216.696.8888. We do our best to accommodate these requests – but we can’t guarantee it.

    Yes, Lady Caroline offers 3 fully-enclosed, climate-controlled decks for your cruising comfort.

    Yes, Lady Caroline has more than enough life jackets available for all passengers at any time. The Captain’s safety briefing explains where they are located. You are not required to wear life jackets during the cruise.

    The ship has limited  wheelchair accessibility. We can accommodate manual wheelchairs only—no powered/electric scooters. Please contact 216.696.8888 to discuss.

    Yes. Lady Caroline has clean restrooms on each floor.

    The Experience

    Our DJ plays a wide variety of music throughout the cruise. Soft music while you are dining and then typically adult contemporary music after your meal is completed. Requests are welcome.

    No. Lady Caroline is a smoke/vape-free vessel. We do not allow the smoking of cigarettes, cigars, vape pens or e-cigarettes on any of the decks.

    Our DJ is always happy to announce your special day. Please speak with our crew when you are on board.

    Although we do not have a strict dress code, we recommend “Business Casual.”

    Lady Caroline is a large and stable boat and the Cuyahoga River and Lake Erie are typically calm waters. As a result, very little motion is felt on board the yacht. Seasickness is very rare. If you are prone to motion sickness, please consider consulting your physician prior to your cruise.

    The route is at the Captain’s discretion and based on weather and river traffic. The route is determined on the day of the cruise. We will either cruise on Lake Erie, stay within the break wall or cruise on the Cuyahoga River.

    We are located on the Flats West Bank in downtown Cleveland. Our dock is home to exciting entertainment venues right on the Cuyahoga River. The possibilities are endless whether you want to grab dinner and drinks, tune in to live music or (in the daytime) get nose-to-nose with sharks.

    In addition to being a smoke- and vape-free vessel, we follow TSA guidelines. Firearms, liquids, drugs, outside food or drink and weapons of any kind are not permitted.

    Cruising with Children

    Children are welcome, though our lunch and brunch cruises tend to be more kid-friendly. Dinner cruises feature a more adult atmosphere.

    Yes. However, infants and children under the age of two (2) are complimentary when seated in an adult’s lap.

    Dining & Bar Service

    All public lunch, brunch and dinner. cruises include an unlimited buffet meal, water, coffee, tea and iced tea. You can purchase soft drinks and alcohol on board with either cash or credit card. (Note: If you are attending a themed event cruise OR a privately hosted event, this may change.) 

    No. Personal foods and beverages are prohibited aboard Lady Caroline. Please, leave the cooking to our chefs.

    There are full-service bars offering a variety of popular beers, wines, liquor and soft drinks for purchase.

    No. You cannot bring alcoholic beverages on board due to Ohio State Law. While on board, passengers 21+ can purchase alcoholic drinks from our full bar and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks.

    Yes. You must be at least 21 if you plan to purchase alcoholic beverages on board. Please remember to bring government-issued identification if you want to purchase alcohol while on board.

    Please inform us of any dietary restrictions in advance, our chef is happy to accommodate your request.

    Weddings

    Yes! Our captain is licensed to perform ceremonies on board Lady Caroline.

    No. The captain can marry you on select community cruises.

    Private charters are available. Please contact group sales at 216.696.8888 for additional information.

    Groups

    Private charter options are available Saturdays from 1 – 4pm or Sundays from 5:30 – 8:30pm. With a 100-person minimum, you have exclusive use of the ship, including a delicious buffet of your choosing, the cruise, and a DJ for musical entertainment. One advantage to a private charter is that the DJ will play your desired music and will make personalized announcements.

    If you are interested in chartering one of our regularly scheduled public cruises, please call us at 216.696.8888 to check availability. Different minimum requirements will apply.

    A group consists of 25 people or more. Once you have contracted through group sales, all policies pertaining to cancellations and refunds will apply, even if the actual attendance falls below 25 guests. Unless Lady Caroline is fully chartered, there is no exclusivity of the usage of the vessel by any passenger on board. All areas and decks are considered common to all passengers. All food and beverage served on board must be purchased through Lady Caroline.

    Definitely! We have many groups join us on our regularly scheduled cruises throughout the season. A cruise on Lady Caroline elevates any group meeting or celebration.

    Seating is preassigned by the restaurant manager. You will be escorted to your reserved seats when you board the ship. If you would like to be seated with another party, please contact the office at least 72 hours prior to boarding, 216.696.8888. We do our best to accommodate these requests – but we can’t guarantee it.

    Deposits may vary. Reservations are not considered definite until a deposit and signed contract have been received. Reservations made prior to the cruise season require a 10% deposit and a signed contract within 10 days after the date of the booking. Additional deposits totaling 50% are due by March 1st of your scheduled cruise season. Failure to provide additional deposits as indicated on the contract will cancel the reservation and any collected deposits will be forfeited. The actual payment schedule will vary based on the booking date. Reservations made during the cruise season require a 50% deposit and a signed contract within 10 days after the date of booking.

    The balance of the cruise price is due prior to boarding. No guest from the group will be permitted to board prior to receipt of full payment. Payment must be made with a major credit card, cashier’s check or cash. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS NOR WILL WE DIRECT BILL. Payment of all beverages and onboard expenses are due prior to departing the ship at the end of your scheduled cruise.

    A guaranteed number of guests is due 7 business days prior to the date of your cruise. The final payment will be based on the number of guests guaranteed. Should you have additional guests, you will be charged accordingly. No future credits or refunds will be given for a decrease in the actual number of guests on the day of your cruise. The final guarantee cannot decrease more than 10% from the original contract. Please contact the Group Sales Office before increasing the number of guests from the initially contracted figure or the final guarantee. Your request will be given priority consideration on a space-available basis.

    No. Applicable taxes, currently 8%, will be applied to all cruise packages. There is a 12% meal service charge. A 20% gratuity and applicable taxes will be added to all additional food and beverage costs requested and hosted by your group.

    PRIVATE CHARTER – Prior to 90 days of cruise – total refund of any prior payments, less 10% of originally contracted and estimated total cruise price. Within 90 days of cruise – no refund of any prior payments.

    GROUP – Prior to 30 days of cruise – total refund of any prior payments, less 10% of originally contracted and estimated total cruise price. Within 30 days of cruise – no refund of any prior payments. Lady Caroline may cancel this agreement for any reason in writing at any time prior to 10 days before your scheduled cruise and if it does so, it shall refund to you your deposit. In the event of hazardous weather conditions or unforeseen operational problems, Lady Caroline has the right to cancel any cruise at any time prior to said cruise without any notice to the customer. This contract shall be null and void. Should this occur, you may, as your sole remedy, either reschedule your cruise to any open time or be fully refunded for any payments made.

    Security personnel and a damage deposit are required for bar/bat mitzvahs, student functions and any events starting after 8pm. Lady Caroline reserves the right to require security personnel and a damage deposit on any cruise at the ship’s discretion. Security personnel will be supplied by Lady Caroline at an additional cost to the group. The damage deposit may be refunded, in whole or in partial, pending an inspection of the ship following the event.
